Abstract: This research investigates the effectiveness of early childhood education (ECE) policies in promoting equitable access, quality standards, and educational outcomes across Nigeria. The objective is to analyze the implementation, impact, and challenges of current ECE policies on educational practices and societal development. A survey research design is utilized to gather data from policymakers, ECE administrators, and stakeholders involved in policy implementation across Federal Capital Territory (FCT). A purposive sample of 200 participants is selected to capture diverse perspectives and experiences in ECE policy development and implementation. Findings indicate varying levels of policy effectiveness, with challenges related to funding, infrastructure, teacher training, and equitable access to quality ECE programs nationwide. Recommendations emphasize evidence-based policy reforms, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable investment in early childhood education to address systemic barriers and enhance educational outcomes for all Nigerian children.
